"Trace Reverie"" is a digital art experience that deeply integrates ancientChinese astronomy and philosophy. Based on the concept of the "TwoInstruments" system, it is presented in the form of a "spiral" and thenintegrated into the twenty-eight constellations of the sky and the concept ofthe "Four Symbols" drawn by the ancients, mapping the historical nodes of theuniverse onto the square spiral representing the "Four Symbols." As the musiccrescendos, a series of grand and epic cosmic narratives will unfold like a risingvortex. The viewer is immersed in it, and then it rotates and rises. in each spiracycle, the viewer can see the subtle effects. This work is based on real-timeinteraction in local time, and the project is performed in four chapters with acycle of 366 seconds (number of days in a leap year). The answer to themystery runs through the 6-minute looping animation, requiring the audienceto participate in piecing together the clues. In this way, we try to reveal the
truth about the other side of the universe: everything follows laws, and the endis also the starting point.
This project is the second chapter in FYLB Digital Public Art creative lnstitutionTrace Reverie series artwork. lt combines Ancient Chinese astronomy andChinese philosophy, analogizing the universe to a vast project with the twentyeight constellations as its underlying code. Through art-therapeutic digital artinteractive visual works, we allow viewers to find specific laws in the nested"systems" as inspiration for life, eliminate daily life's chaos, and achieve innerbalance.
